o Do you like barbeque sauce?
o Have you ever brought your own barbeque sauce to parties?
o Have you ever bought extra sauce when it was on sale for fear you would run out before
the sale ran again?
o Do you put barbeque sauce on everything?
o Do you ever decide what to eat based on whether you can put barbeque sauce on it?
o Has anyone ever said, “Do you want any fries with your sauce?”
If the answer to any of these questions is “YES!”, the BarBeQue Sauce Appreciation League (BBQSAL) is for you.
Next month, the BBQSAL will debut. The BBQSAL is a fun community, formed to promote the love of barbeque sauce, to provide an outlet for bbq sauce lovers, and the share ideas, comments, and general information with fellow bbq sauce appreciados. (That’s right—I’m making up a new word.) Yearly dues are a low $5 and include sauce tastings and Slather, a quarterly newsletter. The more who join this club, the better the benefits get! My goal is to have barbeque joints give discounts to members. You help do that by joining. Power to the people! If you want to join, please send me an e-mail, I can tell you where to send your money.
Slather—the newsletter—is produced four times a year. Issues will include, but are not limited to, recipes, restaurant reviews, polls, tips, facts, and two special features. The special features are Finders Keepers and Side Bar. Finders Keepers is a guide to the sauces area restaurants use, whether they make their own or use a national brand. Side Bar is a review of side items, a recommendation of sorts, of what to eat besides barbeque sauce. Contributions to Slather are always welcome, encouraged, and sometimes needed.
There is much more to look forward to when you join the BarBeQue Sauce Appreciation League! Join today!
